Every time we land in Camden, AL we have a great day. Today was no exception. The people of that small but vibrant little town always come out to get their hearing tested or screened. And, today we also met Chad Kent, one of the Public Health Area Administrators for Wilcox County. Thanks, Chad, for supporting our cause!
A Busy Day in Demopolis!
Our second trip to Demopolis was just as busy as the first. We saw a ton of people today and saw lots of interesting “ear” conditions. A reporter from the Demopolis Times also came and interviewed us for their newspaper. An all around wonderful day!

First Trip to Bibb Medical Center
Our first trip down to the Bibb Medical Center in Centreville, AL was a huge success – even for Friday the 13th! Over 55 people showed up to get their hearing screened and learn a little more about our program. It was great to have them walk through our doors. Focus on Seniors!
We had a very exciting and busy day at the Focus on Seniors Health Fair today. We saw lots of people and lots of people learned that they aren’t hearing as they should be hearing. We hope to see them for further evaluations at the Speech and Hearing Center. Tis the Season for Health Fairs
In the next few weeks we will be doing a number of health fairs. We were at Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind (AIDB) today and at the end of the month we will be doing the City of Tuscaloosa Health Fair. We’ve also got plans to do the UA Work-Life and Wellness Expo in October. And even more events are in the works! Stay tuned!
Rocking it at Pine Hill!
We had a great day on Friday August 4th in Pine Hill, AL. Lots of people came to get their hearing tested and to participate in our research project. It might be a small town (population 975) but it’s got lots of heart! We loved meeting everyone and look forward to our next visit! Info about Pine Hill, AL
