We’ve Been Busy!

Over the past couple of months we’ve enrolled more research study participants who have helped us understand the association between hearing loss and social interaction in communities without access to hearing health care.  A few weeks ago we had a great trip to Livingston and saw lots of people there.  We were so busy that we didn’t even have a chance to get a photo until our drive on the way back to Tuscaloosa – see below.  Note that we do post our photos on our Facebook page on a regular basis and you can always check us out there (Hear Here Alabama).

Seen here from left to right are undergraduates, Madison Clary and Sydney Golden, and Dr. Hay-McCutcheon.

We are looking forward to heading out to Marion tomorrow (Friday March 29) and then we have a few busy weeks here in Tuscaloosa but we’re off again to Camden on April 19.  If you’re in Camden and want to participate in our research study or have your hearing evaluated just touch base and we’d love to see you.  We’ll be there from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.

We are also really excited about the Bama Blitz online fundraising project that will take place on April 10 and 11.  The Hear Here Alabama initiative is one of the featured projects!  How exciting is that!  This is an opportunity to give back to your favorite UA program.  For more information you can check out https://bamablitz.ua.edu/
