Eight faculty members from the University of Alabama were named a fellows of the Alabama Life Research Institute and two professors from the Department of Communicative Disorders were honored with this distinction, Dr. Angie Barber and Dr. Marcia Hay-McCutcheon, for their work in rural Alabama. Dr. Barber does research with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Dr. Hay-McCutcheon has done work improving access and affordability of hearing healthcare.
